About the Role
To ensure and demonstrate that all current and future vehicles comply with all relevant powertrain legislation in current and new markets including the preparation of test vehicles, test documentation, data analysis and to provide regulatory guidance as needed
Engineering Technical background demonstrating 2-4 years� experience in automotive electronics, or software-based environment as needed
To manage Maintenance Projects for the complete driveline (Engine, Gearbox and Axle) for the Value market as needed
Powertrain compliance activity planning and execution, with cost effective delivery in accordance with market homologation plans.
Test vehicle inspection, documentation and preparation
Provide powertrain associated regulatory guidance and interpretation for product design compliance and strategic product planning.
Technical representation, presentation and negotiation with Regulatory Authorities, Government Agencies and test facilities.
Compilation and maintenance of compliance data and the creation of homologation documentation.
Monitor product changes and conduct compliance impact assessments of changes.
Support Manufacturing and Quality in Conformity of Production activities including facility audits.
Fully responsible and accountable for the overall delivery and timing of the assigned project
Strong Stakeholder Management
Lead and drive the cross functional work within the project phase (PCI to End gate)
Continuously drive and monitor progress and report deviations when found necessary
Identify main risks and establish mitigation plan/activities
Identify roadblocks and secure resolution with the project team
Prepare, report status and elevate potential issues
Follow the Platform Governance
Monitor budget and report deviations
Co-Ordination & Support activities as necessary for the Complete Powertrain Team
Synchronize changes with the Product maintenance platform
Responsible for stakeholder dialogue and negotiation and internal as well as external communication related to the project as well as for new scope if needed
Ability to Handle Several Topics at the same time
Strong QUALITY focus, KPI�s.
Knowledge on RCA�s & Quality Tools
Focus & Drive on Quality Issues coming in from Projects or Market.
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain control systems or electronics based delivery essential
Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automotive
Engineering or other equivalent education.
At least 5 years of experience in Powertrain related areas.
You have good knowledge in complete driveline (Engine, Gearbox, Axles)
You have been leading with success several projects
You hold a PMP� certificate
Agile/SAFe WoW Knowledge would be an added advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Having a Truck driver license would be an added advantage
Experience with powertrain and emissions subject matter
Experience of regulatory testing and demonstration
Type approval demonstration
Testing and activity planning with external partners
